Ozalj Castle
Perched dramatically on a cliff above the Kupa River, Ozalj Castle dates back to the 13th century and was home to the powerful Frankopan and Zrinski families. Today it houses the Zavičajni Muzej Ozalj (Local Museum), where visitors can explore archaeological, ethnographic, and historical collections, including works of the famous painter Slava Raškaj.

Hydroelectric Power Plant “Munjara”
Built in 1908, the Ozalj Hydroelectric Plant is not only an engineering marvel but also a cultural monument. Designed in a neo-Renaissance style, it has been producing renewable electricity for over a century. Still in operation, it’s one of the oldest hydro plants in this part of Europe.
Pauline Monastery Svetice
On a hill above Ozalj stands the Pauline Monastery and the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, built in the 17th century. Archaeological excavations revealed a hidden crypt below the church, adding mystery to this already spiritual site.
